La Maison de Prat Coutel: A haven of peace in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards in the Tarn

The cottage is located in theAlbi–Gaillac–Cordes-sur-Ciel"Golden Triangle," an area brimming with charm and authenticity, offering you the perfect setting for an authentic and rejuvenating stay.

Built in 1901, this family home—which shares a wall with the owners, who are winemakers—offers you complete privacy while providing you with exclusive access to rural tourism in the Tarn.

You can stroll through the picturesque streets of the many villages and hilltop towns in the surrounding area, explore the rich heritage of the region between Albi and Gaillac, taste the organic wines of Domaine Al Couderc, or enjoy outdoor activities.

Welcome to our home!
We are Isabelle and Fabien, your hosts at La Maison de Prat Coutel.

La Maison de Prat Coutel is more than just a vacation rental. It has also been Fabien’s family home since 1901. It is filled with childhood memories of Fernand and Henriette, his grandparents, surrounded by vineyards and the scent of linden blossoms in June.

It was in 2019 that we decided to embark on this somewhat crazy project. After three years of work, the Maison de Prat Coutel will finally open its doors in June 2024.

Fabien, a winemaker at Domaine Al Couderc, located just 2 km from the house, will be happy to share his passion for wine and his love of the vineyard with you. As for me, Isabelle, I’ll be delighted to welcome you and tell you all about our beautiful Gaillac vineyard, which I hope you’ll find charming.
We wish you a wonderful vacation in the Tarn!

A picturesque setting and a variety of activities around Gaillac

Gaillac Vineyard: Step into the heart of Domaine AL COUDERC, our Gaillac appellation winery, which spans 11 hectares of vineyards and is cultivated using organic farming methods.

We offer wine tastings on-site at the winery, or right at the guesthouse as part of an aperitif served with charcuterie and cheese platters. It’s a unique way to immerse yourself in the Gaillac wine region.

Nature: Enjoy the many outdoor activities offered by the Aiguelèze Recreation Center: golf, water sports, canoeing, paddleboarding…just 3 km from the House.

Heritage: Explore the charming villages and hilltop bastides in the surrounding area (Cordes, Puycelsi, Castelnau-de-Montmirail, Penne, Bruniquel) and discover the region’s rich historical heritage.
